Bethlehem Catholic came away with seven champions at the Tony Iasiello Memorial Christmas Tournament over the weekend.

After getting beat up at the Ironman Tournament and Beast of the East tournaments earlier this month, the Hawks got back on the proper footing with their home event.

Becahi got titles throughout their roster from freshmen to seniors as Cael McIntyre (Fr., 106); Dante Frinzi (So., 113); Evan Gleason (Jr., 132); Kenny Herrmann (Sr., 138); Matt Lackman (Sr., 145); Cole Handlovic (Sr., 152) and Justus Bozzi (Jr., 182) all came away with championships.

McIntyre and Gleason both won in the finals by tech falls, as the former dispatched Port Jervis’s Trevor Tufano 19-3 in 4:19, while the latter shutout Isaiah Vizcarrondo of Faith Christian 15-0 in 4:03.

Herrmann started a string of three straight titles in the middle weights for the Hawks, as he topped Eric Tigue of Port Jervis 9-4, followed by Matt Lackman’s 9-3 decision over Nicholas Alejandro of East Stroudsburg South. Handlovic’s fall in 3:54 over Nick Goenner of First Colonial also gave him his 100th career victory.

Bozzi pinned East Stroudsburg South’s AJ Hiller in 3:00 to give the Hawks their only champion in the upper weights.

Frinzi got a forfeit in his 113-pound finale.

The Hawks now gear up for major home clash Friday night against Notre Dame Green Pond. The Crusaders are ranked 31st nationally by Intermat, while Becahi comes in at 49th.
