Clocks and pillows, lanterns and superheroes were among the items presented to the school board at the Nov. 20, 2019, meeting.
Art instructor Kathleen Kehs gave the names of the students and of their projects.
Alayna Zotter made a Starry Night pillow with Reagan Hernandez placing her cactus/sunset pillow in the display. Another pillow, a dog was made Gabrielle Gober.
Clay door tiles were the next three items. Abigail Robertson’s clay door tile was on a house with siding. Hannah Bachman made an arched door tile and Rylee Madsen made a clay door tile from Monsters Inc.
Isabela Cicala made a large coil vase with shrinkable plastic flower embellishments and Charlotte Horn made an extra-large blue coil with a clay flower embellishment.
A step into fairy tales inspired Greenleigh McGehee with a Cogsworth design - the “Beauty and the Beast” clock. Kaila Dunn and Veronica Walker make block letters of their first initial with plaster craft figures. Sophia Shuhay made a paper sculpture lantern.
The final two stepped into the field of superheroes with Samantha Ambriano using Spiderman as her hero and Katelyn Breininger doing an Ironman scene.
A special table was set up in the center of the room displaying some of the items.
Dellicker said it had been a long time since they had seen the high school art work.
Holman said the board gets to see it a little while and then it is returned to the students. She gave the students certificates of appreciation.
