FALCON INSIDER
Although the elf on the shelf was unable to visit Salisbury High School this year, SGA and GIVE members were still spreading holiday cheer.
Each morning, GIVE sent students a riddle. The first 10 students to respond with the correct answer received a holiday prize.
Also, SGA organized a holiday spirit week. On Dec. 18, students wore candy cane themed clothing. On Dec. 19, students wore their holiday pajamas and on Dec. 20, students participated in the annual ugly sweater contest, which included two categories; DIY and As Is.
Salisbury graduate and entrepreneur, Tony Hamane, will visit SHS 2:30 p.m. Jan. 8, 2020. He will discuss his experience becoming the entrepreneur of the business, Kickz Da Habbit, which is located on Hanover Avenue in Allentown. All students are welcome to attend.
Seniors may submit their senior portraits to the yearbook by Jan. 17, 2020. Otherwise, their student ID photos will be used. Also, students can submit a baby photo to be displayed next to their senior photo for an additional fee. Families can also submit a message to their senior to be published for an additional fee. All money, photos and messages must be submitted by Jan. 17, 2020.
The Class of 2020’s graduation is tentatively set 6 p.m. June 9, 2020, at Miller Symphony Hall. All seniors will receive six tickets and can request an additional two tickets. However, additional tickets are not guaranteed.
The end of the marking period is quickly approaching. The last day of the semester is Jan. 17, 2020. Students who are currently taking semester long courses will switch to their new classes after this date.
All students will return from holiday break Jan. 6, 2020. They will then have a half day Jan. 17, 2020 and will be off Jan. 20, 2020.
Have a happy holiday and a happy new year, Salisbury!
