WESTERN SALISBURY COLUMN

Christmas is in one week! Are you ready?

Salisbury Township schools will close early Dec. 20. Salisbury High School and Salisbury Middle School will close 12:15 p.m. while Harry S Truman Elementary School and Western Salisbury Elementary School will close 1 p.m. Schools will reopen Jan. 6, 2020. Enjoy your two week holiday break everyone!

Even though there is no school, our sports teams are still playing. Salisbury varsity basketball has a home game 7:15 p.m. Dec. 27 vs. Saucon Valley. Come on out and support our team.

Do you still need one last Christmas gift? Salisbury Youth Association would like to invite you to a night at the Phantoms. The game is 7:05 p.m. Feb. 7, 2020. It is also American Heart Association Night and any member of a group gets a free baseball cap. Tickets must be purchased by Jan. 10, 2020. For more information, contact Daniel Soria at president@syasports.net.

Something else to do this holiday season with your little ones is to go see a Pip the Mouse puppet show at the Allentown Liberty Bell museum. Pip the Mouse was a staple at Christmas in Hess’s Department store on Hamilton Street. For more information on the shows, visit libertybellmuseum.org.

This is going out to all those Salisbury seniors and their parents. In order to get your senior picture in the yearbook, photos must be submitted electronically by Jan. 17, 2020.

The Jerusalem Western Salisbury Church would like to invite you to their Christmas Eve service 3 p.m. or their Candlelight Christmas Eve service 7:30 p.m.
