Freedom’s girls’ swim team just missed a victory over Northampton, losing by one point, 92-91, last Thursday at Northampton.

The Patriots took all three places in the 50 free, led by Sydney Straka with a time of 28.32. Sophie Twigger came in second, and Lilly Anderson was third.

The Pates also took all three places in diving with Sarah Gill who scored 199 points, Fallon Tatlow who scored 163.35, and Cailin Connelly who scored 147.85.

Twigger, Abby Burnette, Straka, and Aliah Corrado won the 200 free relay with a time of 1:50.69, and Isabelle Burnette, Deborah Belen, Grace Christiansen, and Hallie Smith placed second in the same event with a time of 2:00.34.

Freedom’s boys also lost to Northampton, 121-53.

Luke McClure was out touched in the 100 butterfly, coming in second with a time of 59.84 to Connor Oswald’s 59.28 from Northampton.

Danny Connell won the 500 free for the Pates with a time of 5:27.41.

McClure, Eric Mann, Aadam Ameerally, and Connell won the 200 free relay with a time of 1:48.86.
