Jeffrey H. Russ, owned Fossil’s Last Stand

Jeffrey H. Russ, 77, of Allentown and formerly of Phillipsburg, died December 9, 2019, in Lehigh Valley Hospice, Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest. He was the husband of Janice (Ahart) Russ for 54 years.

Born in Bridgeton, New Jersey, he was a son of the late Erwin and Gladys (Miller) Russ.

He was in the United States Navy.

He was a bartender and owned E. Goepp Street Saloon, Bethlehem, and Fossils Last Stand, Catasauqua.

He was a member of Saints Philip and James Catholic Church, Phillipsburg, New Jersey.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by three daughters, Jennifer Russ in South Carolina, Jackie Russ of Allentown and Jessica Russ of Whitehall; a brother, Leigh Russ (wife, Maureen) of Jamesburg, New Jersey; and eight grandchildren.

He was predeceased by a son, Jeffrey J.

There will be a visitation from 6 to 8 p.m. December 12 in the Devlin Funeral Home, 695 Corliss Ave., Phillipsburg, New Jersey, 08865.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. December 13 in Saints Philip and James Catholic Church, 430 S. Main St., Phillipsburg, New Jersey.
