Joyce G. Fritz, 85, of Topton, died Dec. 2, 2019, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Inpatient Hospice Unit, Allentown.

She was the wife of the late George W. Fritz, who died in September 2018.

Born in Longswamp Township, she was a daughter of the late Earl F. and Evelyn M. (Trexler) Smith.

She was a machine topper for the former Hamburg Knitting Mill for 25 years until retirement.

Before that, she worked for the former Wenton Shoe Co. Kutztown.

She was a member of Friedens Church, Lenhartsville.

Her survivors include her son, Richard K. (Kathleen) Kunkel Jr. of Lenhartsville, with whom she last resided; grandchildren Kenneth (Christine) Kunkel and Andrew (Ashley) Kunkel; great-grandchildren Christopher, Cameron and Alexa Kunkel; sisters Gloria Hayes of Kutztown, Emma Helbert of Mertztown, Mildred Frederick of Lyons, and Doris Rehrig and Patricia (Warren) Reichel, both of Kutztown; brothers Ernest (Diane) Smith of South Carolina, Charles (Betty) Smith of Fleetwood, and Frederick (Linda) Smith of Sinking Spring.

She was predeceased by brothers Franklin, Roland and Donald Smith.

Her funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Dec. 14 in Robert S. Nester Funeral Home, 8405 Kings Highway, New Tripoli, with a calling hour beginning at 9:30 a.m.

Interment immediately following service in New Bethel Union Cemetery, Kempton.

The Rev. Dr. Robert C. Santucci will officiate with the Rev. Sterling A. Schnell assisting.
