FALCON INSIDER
Visit Barnes and Noble between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Dec. 14 to do some holiday shopping and support the Salisbury High School Literary Club.
The SHS Literary Club for Readers and Writers helps with events such as Cops ‘n’ Kids, competes in Reading Olympics and publishes Euphoria (SHS’s Literary Magazine), among many other activities. On Dec. 14, members of the club will read children’s books, help at the craft table and wrap gifts free of charge. By simply mentioning SHS at the checkout counters (including in the cafe), part of your purchase will be donated to the club.
SHS seniors who want their senior photo to be in the 2020 yearbook must submit their photos by Jan. 17, 2020. If a photo is not submitted by this date, the student’s school identification photo will be used in the publication. Also, if parents/guardians are interested in submitting a baby photo (for a fee) to be displayed next to the student’s senior portrait and/or including a dedicated message (for a fee), these submissions must be emailed to shspress@salisburysd.org and the money must be given to Ms. de Conde by Jan. 17, 2020.
Auditions for this year’s musical, “Into the Woods” are 4-9:30 p.m. Dec. 15 in the SHS auditorium. Students will need to participate in both a dance/moment audition as well as a vocal audition. See the email from Director Will Erwin to see what you need to prepare and to sign up for the audition.
G.I.V.E. (Get Involved, Value Everyone) is running the second Third Street Alliance Necessities Drive. They are asking for new, unwrapped items, such as classroom supplies, gift cards and cleaning supplies. Please check out the full list to see what items are needed. All items should be brought to Mrs. Schneider’s room by Dec. 18.
SHS students will enjoy a 12:15 p.m. dismissal Dec. 20. Students will then be off for winter break, until Jan. 6, 2020, when students will return to school.
Happy Holidays, Salisbury!
