Mission Possible is sponsoring a community Christmas caroling event 6 p.m. Dec. 15 at Uptown Park on Main Street in Northampton. The group consists of members from three Northampton churches - Grace United Church of Christ, St. Paul’s United Church of Christ and Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church.

The caroling will be led by a community chorus comprised of volunteers with a passion for singing. Music will be provided.

Anyone interested in providing instrumental accompaniment is encouraged to participate. Instrumentalists are asked to bring their own music.

Those attending are asked to bring a candle or battery-operated candle for a special candle lighting as the program comes to an end.

Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1904 Main St., will have refreshments and fellowship in the church hall following the program.

Organizers say the group’s primary focus for having the program is to conduct mission outreach events and programs for Northampton and surrounding communities.

Last year, Mission Possible held a community Thanksgiving dinner. In 2020, Mission Possible has plans for a community meal on the first Saturday in February.
