Marian S. Denny, 83, of Allentown, died Nov. 24, 2019, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.

She and her husband, Jack D. Denny, celebrated 59 years of marriage in March.

Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late Charles W. and Irene E. (Kidd) Smith.

A member of Asbury United Methodist Church, South Whitehall, she was a member of the church women’s board.

She was on the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church Council and a past president of the Waldheim Civic Group.

A graduate of Indiana State University of Pennsylvania, she was a home economist for West Penn Power and a sales representative for Lifetouch School Studio.

She had a genuine love of life, a gift for poetry, bringing others closer together, and finding joy everywhere.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by daughter Susan J. Hall and her husband, Tim; sons John C. Denny and his wife, Anne, and Steven M. Denny; grandchild Ryan Jack Denny; nieces and nephews, and many, many beloved friends.
