Catasauqua, North Catasauqua and Whitehall fire departments responded to a call around noon Nov. 26 at Daku Auto Body Shop, 1135 Howertown Road, North Catasauqua.

Tradesmen were digging trenches along Howertown Road and reported feeling ground turbulence. Smoke was seen coming out the back window of the shop.

Firefighters poured water into the wall cavity, and firefighters investigated the second-floor rooms. As of press time, police and firefighters are not sharing details.

There was no apparent damage to the building. Siding was removed from the exterior, but there were no signs of fire damage.
