Carol A. (Wunderler) Strohe, 54, of Bethlehem, died November 30, 2019, at her residence. She was a daughter of Carl Wunderler Jr. and Hilda (Kollar) Wunderler. She was the wife of David Faust.
She graduated from Northampton High School where she excelled in athletics. She earned both bachelor’s and master’s degrees from East Stroudsburg University.
She was an health and physical education teacher for more than 20 years. She coached track and field, youth soccer and youth softball. At Northampton High School, she held shot put and discus records for 29 and 30 years respectively. She was dominant on the basketball and volleyball courts and on the softball field at Northampton Community College.
In addition to her parents and husband, she is survived by daughters Taylor R. (Strohe) Labar and her husband Tim of Port Isabel, Texas; a son, Cam W. Strohe of Bangor, and Tatum C. Strohe of Bangor; stepchildren, Sarah and Andrew Faust of Northampton; a sister,Diane M. (Wunderler) Hubka of Great Falls, Montana; a brother, Carl Wunderler III of Macungie; Dr. Denise L. Wunderler, D.O., FAOASM of Holmdel, New Jersey; two grandchildren, Corbin and Gryffin Labar; aunts; uncles; and cousins.
There will be a visitation from 5-8 p.m. on December 4 and from 9-10 a.m., followed by a funeral service at 10 a.m., on December 5, all in the funeral home, 2119 Washington Ave., Northampton, 18067.
