LEHIGH VALLEY WEATHER

EASTERN SALISBURY COLUMN

As we near one of the most chaotic times of the year, both in school and out, I hope that everyone has something, or someone to be thankful for.

In observance of Thanksgiving, all Salisbury Township schools will be closed Nov. 28 through Dec. 2. School will reopen Dec. 3.

The Harry S Truman Elementary School PTO will host a movie night 6:30 p.m. Dec. 3 showing The Polar Express. There is a small admission charge which includes a popcorn. Please note that parents are expected to stay with their children for this event as it is not a drop off event.

The HST PTO is again sponsoring the Holiday Shop at school. This is an opportunity for students to shop for gifts for friends and family on their own, with some guidance from volunteers. The event will run Dec. 3 through 6. The PTO is still looking for volunteers to help make this event as successful as possible. If you are able to assist, visit the SignUpGenius site that was sent home via school messenger. More information on the Holiday Shop will be coming home with students soon.

HST will have its next T-shirt day Dec. 5. Remember to show your Falcon Pride.

HST will hold the annual chorus and band concert for students in grades four and five 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Dec. 5. Please come out and support the young musicians in the township. This is always a great performance.

The Salisbury High School Winter Choral and Instrumental Concert will be held 7 p.m. Dec. 5. Come and listen to the amazing performance put on by these high school students.

The Salisbury Township School District and Salisbury Township are again partnering for a community breakfast at Salisbury High School 9-11 a.m. Dec. 7. Breakfast is free but you must register online at https://bit.ly/stsdbreakfast. If you do not have Internet access, call 610-797-2062, ext. 1000 and they can assist you. Hope to see you there.

The Franko Farm yard waste dropoff site will be open 8 a.m to 1 p.m. Dec. 10 and 14.
