Charles A. Waskiewicz

Charles A. Wask-iewicz, 75, of Tamaqua, formerly of Warminster, died Nov. 25, 2019, in his home.

He was the companion of Lila I. Womer for the past 17 years.

Born in Maywood, N.J., he was a son of the late John and Dorothy (Newcomb) Waskiewicz.

The former owner of an archery and gun shop at the Quakertown Farmer’s Market, he also was a security guard for the former Deravin Security Services.

A member of the Beaver Run Rod and Gun Club, Lehighton, he was a lifetime NRA member.

In addition to his loving companion, he is survived by a stepdaughter, Mary, wife of Timothy Van Blargan Sr. of Tamaqua; stepsister-in-law, Vanessa Sterner of Allentown; grandchildren Khalan and Khrystyna Van Blargan, Alexis and Alecia Bausch, and Christopher Cincilla; and beloved pets, Graucho and Stripes.

His memorial service will be 11 a.m. Nov. 30 in Robert S. Nester Funeral Home, 8405 Kings Highway New Tripoli, PA. 18066, with a calling hour at 10 a.m.

The Rev. Scott L. Shay will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to help offset his final expenses sent c/o the funeral home.
