LEHIGH VALLEY WEATHER

WESTERN SALISBURY COLUMN

The week before Thanksgiving means early dismissals. Each school schedule is different, so please read carefully.

Salisbury High School dismisses 12:15 p.m. Nov. 27 only.

Salisbury Middle School dismisses 12:15 p.m. Nov. 22, 25, 26 and 27.

Harry S Truman Elementary School and Western Salisbury Elementary School dismiss 1 p.m. Nov. 21, 22, 25, 26 and 27.

All township schools are closed Nov. 28, 29 and Dec. 2 for the Thanksgiving holiday.

Salisbury Township is partnering with Salisbury Township School District to host a free community breakfast for all township residents, employees and alumni. Come to SHS 9-11 a.m. Dec. 7 and enjoy pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausage, coffee and juice. Breakfast is free, but please RSVP at 610-797-2062, ext. 1000.

Dec. 4 is a busy day in the district. At 8:45 a.m. there is Coffee and Conversation with the school administrators to be held at WSE. At 7 p.m. there is a curriculum and technology meeting with a school board meeting immediately following 7:30 p.m. at the administration building.

Also starting Dec. 4 is the PTA-sponsored holiday shoppe at WSE. Your student will bring home a schedule when their class is going shopping.

The Devonshire drop-off will be open Dec. 3. Hours of operation for Salisbury residents are 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the first and third Tuesday and Saturday of the month.

As always, even though I don’t have to work it anymore, I ask that you please be kind to all retail employees working during Black Friday and the holiday season. It can get crazy, so I just ask that you be patient and understanding to those working in the trenches.
