Elizabeth “Liz” R. Warjas, 93, of Bethlehem, died November 7, 2019, at St. Luke’s Hospice House. Born in Bethlehem, she was a daughter of the late Anthony and Mary Kay (Molnar) Casciano.
She was the wife of the late Andrew “Doc” E. Warjas.
She was a 1944 graduate of Liberty High School.
She was a sewing machine operator. She worked for Pathmark and Giant Foods until she was upwards of 80 years old.
She was a member of Sacred Heart Church where she was the last president of the Altar Rosary Society.
She volunteered at St. Luke’s Hospital for 12 years and at St. Theresa’s School, Hellertown, for three years. She was known as “Grandma Liz”. While residing at Holy Family Manor, Bethlehem, she was seamstress and repaired clothing for other residents and employees.
She is survived by a daughter, Susan R. Henn and her husband Jay of Bethlehem; a son, Daniel “Dane” Warjas of Charlotte, North Carolina; three grandchildren, Andrea, Rachel and Jessica; and six great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by a son, James Warjas; a brother, Anthony L. Casciano; and a sister, Marie Gawlik.
Arrangements were made by Connell Funeral Home Inc., Bethlehem.
