Halloween is a different experience on a BMX bike.
The party started just before lunch Oct. 19 in Catty Woods. Perfect weather added to the fun of the Halloween jam.
From the starting ramp across the course, bikes were jumping off the sand hills. There were practice runs in the morning followed by contests.
The preliminaries are open to all BMX riders, but the final races are awe-inspiring displays of athletic skills.
The contests went well into the night with trophies for highest jump and fastest time.
The evening concluded with festivities at Fossil’s Last Stand, 429 Race St., Catasauqua.
“These are a great bunch of people to spend the evening partying with,” said Jackie Russ-Harford, Fossil’s owner.
