At the Hanover Township Council meeting Oct. 16, Chairman Bruce Paulus announced the township accepted the resignation of Christopher Garges as township manager.

Garges accepted a similar position with North Whitehall Township.

Paulus is appointing Vicky Roth as acting township manager until a replacement is named.

The Garges resignation has implications for surrounding communities. Hanover Township, Catasauqua and North Catasauqua boroughs and East Allen Township are working on a regional comprehensive plan that will impact the zoning in each of the cooperating municipalities.
