Bethlehem Catholic, Freedom, and Liberty’s cross country teams competed against Whitehall, Emmaus, and Allentown Central Catholic last Tuesday at Whitehall.
In boys’ team results, Becahi lost to Whitehall, 25-34, Emmaus, 15-49, and Central, 20-41. Freedom defeated Whitehall, 29-27, Central, 23-33, and lost to Emmaus, 22-37. Liberty defeated Whitehall, 18-45, Central, 23-32, and lost to Emmaus, 20-43.
Liberty’s Cole Frank took first place in the boys’ race with a time of 18:13. Freedom’s Alex Hume was third with a time of 18:25, and teammate Alex Heidemann placed fifth with a time of 18:32.
Also from Freedom, Eric Mann finished in ninth place in 19:06. Becahi’s Matt Millen placed 11th in 19:09. Liberty’s Casey Frank was 14th in 19:20.
In girls’ team results, Becahi defeated Whitehall, 26-29, and lost to Emmaus, 19-44, and Central, 19-40. Freedom defeated Whitehall, 28-29, Central, 26-30, and lost to Emmaus, 20-43. Liberty defeated Whitehall, 16-47, Central, 16-47, and lost to Emmaus, 23-34.
Liberty’s Emily Jobes won the girls’ race in 21:29, and Freedom’s Lauren Charboneau was right behind in 21:33. Becahi’s Margaret Burke came in fourth in 21:43.
From Liberty, Belle Weikert was eighth in 22:01, Madison Drager was ninth in 22:08, and Camryn Bortz was 10th in 22:33.
