STUDENT OF THE WEEK
Q. What grade are you in?
A. I am in 12th grade at Salisbury High School.
Q. What is your favorite subject? Why?
A. My favorite subject is chemistry because I’ve always liked science. I enjoy the mix of math and science that chemistry provides along with performing reactions and doing research.
Q. Have you received any special awards or recognition?
A. I was inducted into National Honor Society my sophomore year.
Q. Are you involved in any extracurricular activities?
A. I’m the captain of the field hockey team, the vice president of Model UN and I’m also in G.I.V.E. and AEVIDUM.
Q. What is your next goal after high school?
A. After high school, I plan to study chemistry at a four-year university. I then plan to move on to veterinary school to later become a veterinarian.
Q. What would you say your biggest challenge has been so far?
A. So far, my biggest challenge has been improving my field hockey skills and moving up on the team. I played for the junior varsity team my freshman, sophomore and junior years. This year, senior year, I’m playing on the varsity team and I’m the captain.
Q. What do you want to be remembered for?
A. I want to be remembered for always being kind and helpful to everyone. I value being a leader and being able to guide my peers.
Q. Who is in your family?
A. My mom, Leah. my dad, Eric, my stepmom, Jenny, my sister, Olivia and my dogs, Rupert and Romeo.
Q. Do you have someone you look up to?
A. I look up to my field hockey coach, Mrs. Brennan. I look up to her because of her hard work and commitment to our team. She has never given up on us and is always optimistic.
Q. Do you have any advice for your peers?
A. I want my peers to know the importance of putting in effort, no matter what they do. It’s important to always give 110 percent.
