It’s time for meet the teacher night at Whitehall-Coplay Middle School. Planned for 6-8 p.m. Sept. 26, the event is a great opportunity for parents.

The book fair will also be open during this time.

WCMS PTO PLUS’ book fair will continue until Sept. 27. The book fairs have great selections of reading and more.

Mark your calendar for the homecoming bonfire 6-9 p.m. Oct. 3 on the Zephyr campus.

Also, there will be a Whitehall High School homecoming football game 7 p.m. Oct. 4 at the WHS football stadium.

Picture days are happening now. Students have brought home a form for parents/guardians to review and place orders. All students will have their photos taken, but purchase is optional.

WHS juniors will be taking the PSAT Oct. 16. The test is free for all juniors.

Please note: If a sophomore would like to take the test, the cost is $17. Register at the counseling office with payment.

WCMS announces its ZephyrTough Employee of the Month program. If your child has a favorite teacher or staff member who has gone above and beyond, students, as well as parents and other colleagues, will have the opportunity to recognize the teacher or staff member.

If you visit whitehallcoplay.org and visit WCMS’ page, follow the link to vote for the ZephyrTough Employee of the Month. Be sure and fill in all the fields of this form.

There are a lot of amazing staff members out there, and it is time to give some recognition!

All medicine - inhalers, EpiPens, prescription medications, etc. - for students must be delivered to the health room by a parent/guardian and should not be sent to school with your child.

Lunch information for parents/guardians is available at MySchoolBucks. You can also download the app and get convenient access to meal balances and purchases and make payments right from your phone.

WCSD requests all student records be reviewed and/or updated on the parent portal, so the district has accurate contact and medical records for the start of school.

Instructions were included in a letter in the August mailing that has a student/user ID and a password. Parents/guardians can enter any updates by visiting update.whitehallcoplay.org.
