Pauline A. Minnich

Pauline A. Minnich, formerly of Walnutport, died Sept. 14, 2019, at Fellowship Terrace, Whitehall. She was the wife of the late Darwin “Chubby” Minnich.

Born in Northampton, she was a daughter of the late George and Beulah (Gangaware) Haydt.

She entered the Army Air Corps in April of 1945 and was stationed in San Antonio, Texas, as a surgical technician. She was discharged in 1947 as a staff sergeant.

She held various nursing aide positions at Quakertown and Haaf hospitals and Leader and Rau residential nursing homes.

She was a member of Christ United Church of Christ, Walnutport, and a former member of Good Shepherd Church, Slatington.

She was a lifetime member of Delke American Legion Post 16, Slatington, and a member of the Veterans of the Battle of the Bulge, Lehigh Valley Chapter.

She is survived by two sons, Jeffrey and his wife Judy Ringholz of Miami, Fla., and Jack and his wife Kathy of Laurys Station; three grandchildren, Jeffrey Minnich Jr., Audra and her husband Jason Doll and Kelly and her husband Rich Prall; two great-grandchildren, Gavin and Charlotte Doll; two sisters-in-law, Joanne Heffelfinger and Shirley Beil; good friend, David Billheimer; nieces; and nephews.

She was predeceased by five siblings, Claire Anthony, Charles Haydt, Roy Haydt, Harvey Haydt and Willard Gangaware.

There will be a visitation 9-10 a.m., followed by a funeral service 10 a.m., Sept. 19 at the funeral home, 2119 Washington Ave., Northampton, 18067.

Contributions may be made to Fellowship Community, 3000 Fellowship Drive, Whitehall, 18052.
