James A. Pany, 69, of Northampton, died Sept. 9, 2019, at Fellowship Community, Whitehall.

Born in Northampton, he was a son of the late Ignatius and Jean (Schneider) Pany.

He was a Northampton High School graduate. He earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Penn State.

He was a self- employed roofing contractor, and along with his brother, operated Teklits Roofing, Northampton, for the past 47 years.

He was a member of Queenship of Mary Catholic Church, Northampton.

He is survived by a brother, Frank J. Teklits and his wife Donna of Northampton; a sister, Sally A. and her husband Jeffrey Holobusky of Whitehall; a niece, Nicole Teklits of Northampton; and a friend, Janice Farkas of Allentown.
