Bath Borough’s fourth annual Spuds and Suds Festival Aug. 24 featured great weather, splendid music, good food and drinks and fun for all ages.
The festival’s purpose is to honor the Bath and surrounding areas’ potato growers and the industry.
Bath Mayor Fiorella Reginelli-Mirabito stood with the fire department at the safety services table. She said she was grateful the weather was cooperative and was delighted with the large turnout.
Council President Mark Saginario said, “What I am happy about is this is the first time we had a good attendance as soon as we opened at noon. I see a lot of happy faces.”
Council Vice President Michele Ehrgott added, “It is nice to see so many people talking to each other. This has the feel of a family reunion.”
Attendees were treated to music by Billy Bauer Band, The Large Flowerheads and Jimmy and the Parrots.
Weyerbacher Brewing Company served up a special beer - Bath Beer - that it brewed for the festival.
The major sponsors of the festival were Greater Bath Area Chamber of Commerce, Brown Daub 512 Autos and Franklin Hill Vineyards.
Honoring the local potato industry and the fellowship displayed throughout the day exemplifies Bath Borough’s motto, selected in 2018 - “History Nestled with Friendship.”
