The Lehigh Township Historical Society will be taking presale orders for mums and 8-inch shoofly pies until Aug. 31. Mums that are preordered are discounted.

The flowers, shoofly pies and other goodies will be sold 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Sept. 14 from the porch at the Historical Centre, 3811 Lehigh Drive.

Try to order ahead so the group doesn’t sell out of your favorite colors before you arrive.

Hope Lutheran Church, 4131 Lehigh Drive, Cherryville, will hold its annual yard sale 8 a.m.-1 p.m. Aug. 30 and 31. There will be a special early-bird entrance 7 a.m. Aug. 30 for a discount.

Food and drinks, along with a bake sale, will be available.

The sale will feature purses, backpacks, toys, games, puzzles, books, movies, CDs, video games, sporting goods, arts and crafts, holiday decorations, picture frames, small furniture, general household goods, kitchenware, and hand and power tools.
