Luis Augusto Martins, 87, of Bethlehem, died August 7, 2019. Born in Setúbal, Portugal, he was a son of the late Luis de Jesus Martins and Maria d’Ascenção Martins. He was the husband of Maria da Purificação Martins for more than 55 years.

He immigrated to the United States in 1974, and made a career in construction.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons, Fernando and his wife, Ana Paula, João and his wife Sharon and Nuno and his wife Abigail; a brother, José Martins; a sister, Cacilda Martins; and seven grandchildren, Ashley, Nicole, Allison, Ethan, Claire, Max and Gage.

He was predeceased by a brother, Henrique Martins; and a sister, Maria Carvalho.
