This year mark’s the 36th year of Musikfest. It’s one of the largest music festivals in the nation with over 500 shows on 17 stages over 10 days. The music, food and fun are supported by 2,000 volunteers and a million plus visitors. Unlike last year’s rains and flooding, this year’s weather has been welcoming sight to the 60+ food vendors as well as the many other vendors selling art and merchandise.
Although Musikfest is and has always been a music focused festival, there are many other attractions beyond music including an expanded comedy lineup featuring over 30 comedians performing, 19 dance troops performing and many other highlights. One such highlight to this year’s fest is the Prismatica which are 6-foot tall pivoting prisms that create a variety of colors and sounds when guests rotate them.
Another popular attraction for kids and adults is the Nintendo Switch Road Trip which is a tent area filled with consoles for people to try some of the hottest new Nintendo Switch games with several Nintendo themed challenges for players. Based on attendance and enthusiasm, this year’s event has been a success.
