Klecknersville Rangers Volunteer Fire Company, 2718 Mountain View Drive, will be holding a chicken and seafood bake 11 a.m.- 8 p.m. Aug. 3.

The menu includes half of a barbecue chicken, fish fillet, 12 clams, 12 shrimp, corn on the cob, red skin potatoes, coleslaw, roll and butter.

The event is first come, first served. No advance tickets are needed.

Emmanuel’s Lutheran Church, 3175 Valley View Drive, announces there will be only one worship service Aug. 4, and it will take place 10 a.m. in the fellowship hall.

The bluegrass cantata will be presented as part of the service.

There will also only be a 10 a.m. service Aug. 18. This service will include the blessing of the backpacks.

The church picnic will begin immediately following the service. Sign up if you will be attending. There are also sign-up sheets for food.
