LEHIGH VALLEY WEATHER

Raceway at SteelStacks!

ArtsQuest’s SteelStacks thrilled families with an open Lehigh Valley Grand Prix to celebrate Father’s Day June 16. Despite overcast skies and sporadic rain, the enthusiasm wasn’t dampened in any way. The Lehigh Valley Grand Prix set up a temporary half-mile road course in the parking lot next to the blast furnaces. For $25 a person, drivers were given a safety briefing, helmet and eight minutes of track time on go-karts with speeds up to 40 mph. There was a category for adults and one for kids starting at age 8. Many families attended to compete against and cheer on dads during their special day.
