An arrest has been made in a July 3 fire on East Morton Street which police and fire investigators deemed arson.

Emergency responders arrived at the residence in response to an early morning call and were forced to break down the door to wake and extract the residents, who were moved to a safe location.

Officers, with the assistance of arson detection dog Silver, determined the fire was set intentionally and arrested Terrence C. Morgan, 39, of Coplay.

The investigation is ongoing.
