James E. Lechman, electrical, machine shop foreman

James E. Lechman, 77, of Bethlehem Township, died June 25, 2019. Born in Fountain Hill, he was a son of the late John and Anna M. (Helmecy) Lechman. He was the husband of the late JudyAnn L. (Davis) Lechman.

He was a general foreman in the electrical and machine shop of the Bethlehem Steel Corporation, and was very knowledgeable of Bethlehem Steel history.

He was a member of the North East Lion’s Club.

He is survived by three children, Scott E. and his wife Debra, WendyLee L. Olshefski and her husband Frank IV, and Kellymarie L. Flores and her husband Arcadio Jr.; two sisters, Rose Furchner and Marie Zullo; two sisters-in-law, Jane Lechman and Lucy Lechman; and seven grandchildren, Tim and Joe Lechman, Frankie and Michael Oleshefski, Justin Thomma, and Ryan and Hunter Flores.

He was predeceased by two brothers, Joseph and Richard; and two brothers-in-law, Bruce Furcher and Tony Zullo.

Contributions may be made to Country Meadows to be applied towards the scholarship program for employees.
