WESTERN SALISBURY COLUMN

The Salisbury Township School District will hold open library hours throughout the summer. The first one on the schedule will be 9:30-11:30 a.m. June 26 at Salisbury Middle School. Any Salisbury student from kindergarten through eighth grade may come and check out books. Books for all ages will be available and all books will be due in September.

The Salisbury Township summer park program is in full swing and runs through July 26. Children who live in Salisbury Township entering first grade through age 12 may participate. The program runs 9 a.m. to noon Monday through Friday and 6:30-8 p.m. Wednesday nights. The parks include Green Acres, Devonshire, Laubach and Lindberg, when it opens. The first movie night will be 7:30 p.m. June 19 showing “How to Train your Dragon: Hidden World.”

The Jerusalem Western Salisbury Church summer festival will be held 4-9 p.m. June 22. Dan Flok and Raven will entertain guests along with the JWS Festival Band.

The Devonshire drop-off will be open June 24, 27 and July 2. Hours of operation for Salisbury residents are 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the first and third Tuesday and Saturday of the month. Evening hours have now begun 3-9 p.m. Mondays and Thursdays.
