Wanderers off to hot start

The NORCO season is underway and the Wanderers have jumped out to a perfect start early in the season.

Winning their first two games of the season 12-0 over Hellertown and 14-0 over Bankos, the Wanderers (2-0) have been off to a torrid beginning to the season.

With games against Nazareth (5-1) and Wind Gap (0-4) this week, Dwight Pulieri’s team will get a chance to see what they’re really made of when they stack up against Nazareth this week.

Freemansburg is 2-2 through four games, knocking off Palmer Township and Wilson so far. The team has Birches (2-3), Roseto (1-2) and Bankos (1-3) this week, which could help put them in position to push themselves a few games above .500 heading into the middle of the month.

Bankos continues to struggle, as they dropped their first three games of the summer to Palmer (twice) and Wanderers, getting outscored 32-8 in that span.

They recorded their first win of the season with a 7-2 victory over Northampton over the weekend.

The club has contests against Freemansburg and Hellertown to close out the week with the hope of getting their record back to level.
