Mary E. Stover

Mary E. Stover, 89, formerly of Emmaus and North Plainfield, N.J., died May 25, 2019, at the home of her son, surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late John O. Stover. Born in New Market (currently Piscataway, N.J.) she was the daughter of the late Edward and Anna Mae (Murray) Gray.

She graduated from Holy Trinity High School, Class of 1948, in Westfield, N.J.

She was a parishioner of St. Ann Roman Catholic Church, Emmaus and was a member of the St. Ann’s Women’s Club and NewComers Club.

She was a dedicated wife and mother whose family was at the center of her life. She was non-judgmental and gave of herself to support her church community and others less fortunate.

She loved the ocean, collecting seashells, knitting and visiting with friends and family.

She is survived by children: John O. “Jack” Stover Jr. (Susan), of Emmaus; Kathleen A. Ergott (Les), of Collegeville; Patricia A. Greth (John), of Wyomissing; Robert E. (Judy), of Center Valley; Maureen A. Woods (Andrew), of Macungie; Barbara A. Borgioni (Joseph), of Allentown; Mary A. Bilotta (Ross), of Exeter; 19 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren.

Services will be held 10:15 a.m. May 31 in the Bachman Kulik & Reinsmith Funeral Home, 225 Elm St., Emmaus. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. at St. Ann Catholic Church, Emmaus. Viewings will be 6 to 8 p.m. May 30 and 9:30 to 10:15 a.m. May 31 in the funeral home.
