Voters in North Whitehall Township overwhelmingly supported a referendum on Tuesday’s Municipal Primary ballot to support open space and farmland preservation.

According to unofficial results from Lehigh County Voter Registration, 64.79 percent of the total 1,826 voters in the six districts favor imposition of a tax of one 10th (.1) of one mill on real estate.

Saying no to the tax were 643 voters, 35.21 percent of the unofficial votes cast.
