Margaret F. Papsun, 93, of Lower Macungie Township, died May 17, 2019, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township. She was the wife of the late John M. Papsun.
Born in Oahu, Hawaii, she was a daughter of the late George Sr. and Mae (Teryua) Kern.
She was employed as a seamstress and machine operator at Schneider Manufacturing, Allentown, where she also was a fashion model.
She attended St. John’s United Church of Christ, Fullerton.
She and her husband were known as Kid Pepper and Janie country music band, later known as The Neighbors and finally Town and Country Boys, playing around the greater Lehigh Valley region and the Poconos.
She is survived by two daughters, Linda D. and her husband Terry Beidleman of Max Meadows, Va., and Francine J. and her husband Eric Anewalt of Allentown; three sons, Gary W. and his wife Mindy of San Antonio, Fla., Darrell G. of Stroudsburg and Brian L. and his wife Debbie of Fleetwood; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; three sisters, Evelyn of Catasauqua, Lorraine of Boston, Mass., and Connie of Northampton; and nieces and nephews.
Arrangements were made by Schisler Funeral Home, Northampton.
