Arthur J. Benscoter, 68, of Walnutport, died May 16, 2019, at his home. He was the husband of Karen D. (Walker) Benscoter for 42 years.

Born in Meshoppen, he was a son of James Benscoter of Northampton and the late Dorothy (Steele) Benscoter.

He was a 1969 graduate of Northampton High School.

He was an operations manager for PP&L, Allentown, for 44 years before retiring in 2013.

He was a member of Chapman Lodge 637 F&AM, Northampton, and of the Lehigh Consistory Valley of Allentown, where he was a 32nd degree Mason. He was a Boy Scout.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Eric and his wife Adele of Chester, Md.; and two brothers, George and his wife Tina of Middletown and Lewis and his wife Kathy of Walnutport.

He was predeceased by a brother, Gordon Benscoter.

There will be a visitation 10-11 a.m., followed by a memorial service 11 a.m., both May 23 at the funeral home, 2119 Washington Ave., Northampton, 18067.
