Albert J. Tallick

Albert J. “Moose” Tallick, 74, of Macungie, died peacefully April 8, 2019, at home while in the care of his family. He was the husband of Rosemary (Barrett) Tallick, who was his high school sweetheart, for 51 years. Born in Mary D, he was the son of the late Albert S. and Mary (Krynock) Tallick.

He was a 1962 graduate of Marian Catholic High School.

He honorably served in the United States Navy where he was stationed in Guantanamo Bay during the Cuban Missile Crisis.

He was employed for 35 years by Western Electric as an electronics technician, retiring from Lucent Technologies, Allentown, in 2000.

As a young man he was a member of the renowned Schuylkill County band “The Chevelles” playing rhythm lead guitar. In his retirement, he enjoyed playing golf, reading, spending time with his granddaughters and was a talented woodworker and jack-of-all-trades.

He was a member of St. Ann Roman Catholic Church, Emmaus.

He is survived by his wife; daughters, Dr. Susan and her husband, Dr. Michael Ehrig, of Bethlehem; Kristine and her husband, Randy Schwartz, of Emmaus; brother, Leon G. and his wife, Gloria, of Bordentown, N.J.; grandchildren, Molly and Bridget Ehrig.

Arrangements were made by the E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Tamaqua.
