Catty took on Notre Dame and Bangor in a recent track meet, which leads up to this week’s Colonial League meet held at Whitehall High School.

The girls lost to Bangor 111-39 and to Notre Dame 99-46. The boys fell to Bangor 126-23 and to Notre Dame 108-38.

Despite the losses, several Catty athletes stood out in the meet. That included Lexi Rushatz who won both the 400 and 1600 events. Her time in the 400 was 1:04.10 and in the 1600 was 5:42.20.

Other finishers for the girls were Katherine Verenna who was fourth in the 3200.

Amy Huber was third in the 100 hurdles and teammate Kyra Jackson was fifth. In the 300 hurdles, Shaziya Robers was third and Olivia Emery was fourth while Jackson was fifth.

Montana Muller was second in the pole vault and Aaliya Renville-Dumarce was fourth in the high jump. Jackson was fifth in the long jump while Renville-Dumarce took fifth in the triple jump.

In the throws, Aidan Gerhard and Taylor Richards tied for third in the discus while Tory Simmons was second in the javelin and Roberts was third.

For the boys, Jaekwan Moodie took first in the long jump with a 20-0.5.

Catty’s 1600 relay team, made up of Clemons, Moodie, Cole Brown and Matthew Smith, took first with a time of 4:53.60.

Wilquon Clemons was third in the 100 while Moodie was fourth and Ryder Faustner was tied for fifth in the 200. Cole Brown was fifth in the 400.

Smith was fifth in the 800 while Benjamin Langsdorf was fifth in the 3200.

In the hurdles, Joe Merkel was fourth in the 100 and 300 while Clemons was third in the 300.

Merkel was fourth in the long jump.
