Bath: Dinner, dance event scheduled for May 11

Emmanuel’s Lutheran Church, 3175 Valley View Drive, will be having a lasagna dinner and dance May 11.

Dinner will be served 4-5:30 p.m., and dancing will be 6-9 p.m.

You are invited to bring any desserts or finger foods.

A freewill offering will be taken to benefit the kitchen fund.

Governor Wolf Historical Society will hold its next monthly meeting 7 p.m. May 14 at the society’s campus, 6600 Jacksonville Road.

The public is welcome.

The GWHS museum will be open to the public 1-3 p.m. May 18. Tours of the campus will be offered.

The Bath Farmers Market, held at Keystone Park, 250 Green St., will open for the season 3-7 p.m. May 17.

Founded in 2008, the market offers fresh local produce, meats, prepared foods and more, plus a monthly kids day and other community events.

Vendors for this season include Covered Bridge Farm; Annarella’s Bakery, which will have biscotti, cookies and brownies; and Cattle Creek Farms, which will have locally raised beef and pork.

Parking is adjacent to the American Legion, 278 Race St., and two parking spaces for those with disabilities are available next to the vendor entrance on Green Street.

Klecknersville Rangers Volunteer Fire Company, 2718 Mountain View Drive, will be having a big cash bingo May 18.

The doors open 4 p.m., and bingo starts 7 p.m.

There will be more than $1,500 in jackpots.

The kitchen will be open.
