BC boys beat CCHS

Bethlehem Catholic’s boys’ track and field team scored a 106-42 victory over Allentown Central Catholic last week at Freedom.

Nick Lucien won the 100 in 11.10 and the 200 in 23.90, Caden Giordano took first place in the 400 in 53.30, and Daniel Smith was first in the 3200 in 11:05.00.

Steven Santostefano won the 300 hurdles in 43.10.

Tavian Banks, Lucien, Matt Stianche, and Tristan Buscemi won the 4x1 relay in 45.50, and Marco Calantoni, Connor Thierry, Matt Millen, and Issaiah Lopez took first in the 4x4 relay in 3:46.00.

“I think we ran good,” said Calantoni who led off the 4x4. “We really pushed it and that wasn’t even the best we can do. Challenge is always good and it makes us stronger.”

Stianche won the high jump with a 5-09, Henry Pavis won the pole vault with a 12-03, Michael Donchez took first in the long jump with a 19-11.50, and Mychael Althouse was first in the triple jump with a 40-05.

Becahi also won all throwing events against the Vikings with Dalton Daddona taking first in the shot put with a 37-09, George French winning the discus with a 82-02.50, and Tanner Knipe coming in first in the javelin with a 115-11.
