FHS track falls to Whitehall

Freedom’s boys’ track and field team defeated Whitehall, 82-68, while Whitehall’s girls defeated Freedom, 91-59, last week at Whitehall.

The Zephyr girls won all sprinting events, but the Patriots’ Lauren Charboneau took first place in the 3200 in 12:31.2.

Shannon Connelly placed first in the 300 hurdles in 52.7.

Madison Fey won the pole vault with a jump of 8-06.00, and Lola Willey won the triple jump with a distance of 32-07.00.

Killia Ramos took first place in the shot put with a distance of 31-03.00.

In boys’ events, Vince Reph won the 100 in 11.50, Gabe Caton won the 400 in 56.5, Nick Bauer took first in the 800 in 2:20.5, Alex Heidemann placed first in the 1600 in 5:09.6, and Dylan Stahl won the 3200 in 11:30.5.

Thawadah Rock won the 110 hurdles in 16.2.

The Patriots won the 4x1 relay with Sebastian Gibbs, Caton, Rock, and Reph in 45.1, and the 4x8 relay with Josh Noel, Stahl, Christian Jancsarics, and Bauer in 9:08.40.

Pole vaulter Ryan Smizaski set a new P.R. and won with a jump of 12-03.00, and Alex Reji won the high jump with a 5-07.00.

Kaden Moore came in first in the shot put with a 41-01.00.
