Liberty’s boys’ track and field team defeated Easton, 89-61, but Easton’s girls’ track and field team defeated Liberty, 85-65, last Thursday at Easton.
Top finishers for the Hurricane girls were Greta Stuckey in the 1600 with a time of 5:31.0, Essynce Botz in the long jump with a distance of 14-06.00, and Catherine Kelly in the triple jump with a distance of 32-11.00.
Rachel Byrne, Yamilet Ferrufino, Gabrielle Phillips, and Stuckey won the 4x4 relay in 4:14.6, and Belle Weikert, Stuckey, Evelyn Sharken, and Camryn Bortz won the 4x8 relay in 10:41.0.
Top finishers for the Hurricane boys were Javonte Haynes in the 100 in 12.2, and in the 200 in 22.9, Graham Phillips in the 400 in 53.2, and Ryan Wycherley in the 800 in 2:04.0.
Christian Tackett won the 110 hurdles in 15.9 and the 300 hurdles in 39.2.
Casey Frank, Jared Galloway, Wycherley, and Cole Frank took first place in the 4x8 relay in 8:54.
Daeshawn Teague won the high jump with a height of 6-01.00, Haynes was first in the long jump with a distance of 22-07.00, and Sander Sahaydak won the triple jump with a distance of 42-06.00.
In throwing events, Trevor Harris was first in the discus with a distance of 127-09, and Jack Donchez won the javelin with a distance of 139-01.
