Coplay Borough’s 150th anniversary committee hosted a full house April 6 during the kickoff to a yearlong celebration.
A gala, held at the American Club of Coplay pavilion, capped the daylong event that also included a carriage ride for borough and area dignitaries and the opening of a time capsule buried at the veterans memorial on Chestnut Street.
The American Club event featured speeches by Coplay officials and special guest Lt. Gov. John Fetterman. Entertainment was provided by A Few Good Men.
Next up in the 150th anniversary celebration lineup is a performance by The Chas Band May 8 at Community Plaza. Additional details will follow.
