The annual Harry S Truman Elementary School PTO candy bingo will be held 6:30-8 p.m. April 5 in the school cafeteria. Doors open 6:15 p.m. There is no admission for this event; however, donations are accepted and appreciated. Every donation to the PTO gets your name into a raffle. Food is also available for purchase. Come out and enjoy time with friends and family and try your luck at winning some candy.

Salisbury Township School District is hosting a parent workshop, in conjunction with the Center for Humanistic Change, 6:30 p.m. April 11, regarding understanding current drug trends, addiction and the vaping epidemic. This event will be held at Salisbury High School. Please RSVP by April 9 to Ginny Gugliemini at vgugliemini@salisburysd.org or call 610-797-2062, ext. 1400.

The annual Kindergarten Bonnet Parade will be held 9:30 a.m. April 12. Look for more information to be sent home with your kindergarten student.

It’s Pennsylvania System of School Assessment time. Salisbury Middle School students in grades six through eight will take the English Language Arts portion of the test April 15-17. Please make sure your students are well rested, have a good breakfast and are aware of rules and expectations for this timeframe.

The HST Perkins pie fundraiser pickup time will be 5-6 p.m. April 17 at the school.

All township schools will be closed for spring break April 18 through 22. Schools will reopen April 23.

The Salisbury Recreation Advisory Committee is again hosting an Easter Egg hunt for township children ages three to 10 at Franko Farm 10 a.m. April 13. All children must be registered by April 10. The registration form is available on the township website. This event is weather permitting.

The Salisbury Athletic Booster Club is conducting a one-day clothing and accessory drive April 27 at SMS. Residents can drop off bagged and boxed items 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. No late donations will be accepted as the truck has a scheduled arrival time.

The eighth annual Salisbury Football Golf Tournament will be held June 1. Registration will begin 7 a.m., with a shotgun start 8 a.m. The event will be held at the Allentown Municipal Golf Course. The Franko Farm yard waste drop-off site will be open 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 9 and 13.
