APRIL 6

Kickoff gala event: American Club of Coplay pavilion, 300 Cherry St. Tickets are required and will not be sold at the door.

• 3 p.m. - opening of the time capsule buried at the veterans memorial on Chestnut Street

• 4-5 p.m. - cocktail hour. Dress is business casual or semiformal.

• 5-6 p.m. - family-style dinner including hors d’oeuvres, roast chicken, pot roast, salad, vegetables and desserts prepared by Samuel Owens Restaurant. Beer and wine are included. There will be a cash bar.

• 6-7 p.m. - featured speakers including Lt. Gov. John Fetterman

• 7-10 p.m. - entertainment by A Few Good Men

Crystal View Carriage Services will transport Fetterman and other honored guests from the pavilion to the monument by horse and carriage for the unearthing of the time capsule and back to the pavilion.

• Keep your eyes toward the Allentown skies April 6 as PPL will turns its building lights red and blue in observance of the borough’s anniversary and patriotism.

• The Chas Band - kickoff to Coplay’s summer entertainment series at Community Plaza

MAY 18

Anniversary parade:

• 12:30 p.m. - parade begins at the corner of Ninth and Chestnut streets. The route will go down Chestnut Street, take a right onto Second Street, to Hokendauqua Street and up to Fifth Street.

• Included in the parade will be the Whitehall Marching Zephyr Band and Freedom High School marching band, Bethlehem, among others.

• Trick Stacy Trio - summer entertainment series at Community Plaza

JUNE 12

• A Pair of Aardvarks - summer entertainment series at Community Plaza

JUNE 15

Birthday festival:

• 10 a.m. - party begins at Samuel Balliet Stadium, 131 N. Eighth St.

• noon-9:30 p.m. - entertainment featuring Philadelphia Funk Authority, Craig Thatcher Band, Brian Dean Moore Band and more

• dusk - fireworks display

• There will be family activities, food trucks, beverages and more.
