The Salisbury Recreation Advisory Committee is sponsoring the Salisbury Township egg hunt 10 a.m. April 13 at Franko Park. This hunt is open for township children ages three to 10, but you must register by April 10. The registration form is located at www.salisburytownshippa.org under the heading 2019 Easter Egg Hunt and must be returned to the Salisbury Township Municipal Building.

In case you didn’t know, the Salisbury Board of Commissioners has proclaimed April to be Salisbury Township Volunteer Month. This is to recognize volunteers in the township for all their hard work and sacrifice in helping to make Salisbury Township such a great place to live. Thank you to all who volunteer in any capacity in Salisbury Township. Your work is greatly appreciated.

The next parent workshop sponsored by the Salisbury Township School District is titled “Inclusive Practices.”

Those in attendance will learn the benefits of inclusion for all students and how that works in the Salisbury Township School District. This workshop will be held 6 p.m. April 1 at Harry S Truman Elementary School and facilitated by Tracey Jacobi, director of special education.

HST and Western Salisbury Elementary School will have a 1 p.m. early dismissal March 29. Salisbury High School and Salisbury Middle School will dismiss at normal time.

The next school board meeting will be 7:30 p.m. April 10 at the administration building. The date and time of the next operations committee meeting will be 7 p.m. April 1 at the administration building.

The Devonshire drop-off will be open March 30, April 2 and 6. Hours of operation for Salisbury residents are 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the first and third Tuesday and Saturday of the month. Evening hours begin in May.
