Salisbury High School juniors traveled to Cedar Crest College to visit the Pennsylvania Association for College Admission Counseling College Fair March 7. Students had the opportunity to learn about colleges throughout the country by talking to college representatives and viewing the information pamphlets the schools provided.

Students interested in science, technology, engineering and math, or STEM, can meet with a customer test lab manager at Flexicon 10 a.m. March 14. Students interested in learning more about the STEM fields, required education/training and the products created by Flexicon, should visit the guidance office by March 13 to receive a pass.

“Honk!,” the spring musical at SHS, opens this week. Opening night is 7 p.m. March 14. The show will also run 7 p.m. March 15 and 16. The closing performance will be 3 p.m. March 17. Make sure to mark your calendars so that you can come support SHS Theatre. There is a cost for tickets at the door or tickets can be ordered by emailing salisburytheatre@salisburysd.org or calling 610-797-4107, ext. 2508. Please make sure to note for which performance you would like the tickets.

Students interested in signing up for the Advanced Placement tests can complete their registration until March 15.

To celebrate Music in Our Schools Month, students will be showcasing their musical talent to friends during Falcon Period in the music hallway. Students can perform with friends or individually and can also invite some friends to watch to help create a supportive environment. Snacks will be provided for all to enjoy. Email Ms. Reinecke if interested in performing.

Miss DosSantos’s Spanish classes and other interested SHS students are also celebrating Music in Our Schools Month by participating in March Music Madness or Locura de Marzo. Students across the globe filled out a bracket stating which song they thought would win to join the contest. Students can then vote for their favorite songs throughout the month. At SHS, whoever has the most points individually can win some prizes.

Finally, the National Honor Society Induction ceremony is scheduled 7 p.m. March 28. Mark your calendars if you are interested in supporting the newest members of NHS at SHS.
