LUAG springs forward with new exhibits

Lehigh University Art Galleries launched their spring 2019 exhibitions with a reception at the Siegel Gallery in Iacocca Hall Jan. 31. According to Director and Professor of Practice Dr. William Crow, works drawn from the university’s permanent collection will be on display through May 24.

These include “Scale Shift: Large and Small Works” by various artists at the Siegel Gallery on the mountaintop campus. “Robert Doisneau: Paris After The War,” a collection of historic photographs, and “Elisabeth Frink: Mountain Hawks & Other Creatures” featuring wildlife prints, at the Dubois Gallery in Maginnes Hall.

Fall semester exhibitions continuing through May 24 include “Pedro Meyer: Truth from Fiction” at the Fairchild-Martindale Study Gallery, “The Future is Female: Prints by Women Artists ” at Rauch Business Center Gallery, and “The Teaching Museum: Selections from the Permanent Collection” in the Zoellner Arts Center’s Main Gallery.

Crow was hired in August 2018 to replace retiring LUAG Director and Chief Curator Ricardo Viera. Before coming to Lehigh, Crow worked at New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art.
