Helen L. (Magera) Clement, Western Electric retiree

Helen L. (Magera) Clement, 95, formerly of Bethlehem and a resident of Emmanuel Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation, Danville, died March 2, 2019. Born in Mocanaqua, she was a daughter of the late Jacob and Mary (Matusek) Magera. She was the wife of the late Edward Clement of Bethlehem.

She graduated from Shickshinny HS. She earned a degree in cosmetology from Hollywood School of Beauty Culture, where she was a hairstylist.

She worked at Western Electric, Bethlehem, from 1952 until her retirement in 1981.

She was a member of Ss. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church, now Incarnation of Our Lord Catholic Church, Bethlehem.

She was a member of the Pioneers group at Western Electric and was in many service projects and activities. She was active in the church seniors group where she made perogies and noodles for church fundraisers.

She is survived by a sister, Marie Beezup of Honesdale; a cousin, Helene Yosko of Los Angeles, Calif.; and nephews and nieces Donald Rishe (Becky), Richard Rishe (Janice), Suzanne Huff (David), Maryruth Wagner (Albert), Judi Hart (Bill), Pamela Beezup, Mark Beezup, Cynthia Magera (Michael), Sandra Magera and Michael Magera; great-nieces; great-nephews; great-great-nieces; and great-great-nephews.

She was predeceased by two brothers, John and Steven Magera; and a sister, Anne (Magera) Rishe.
